Safety

clubR is built so you decide who knows your plans. Here’s how it works, and how to stay safe on a night out.

Private by default

  • Your plans and RSVPs stay hidden until you and someone else both match.
  • Likes stay blurred until you like back.
  • What you’re open to, new friends or something more, is never shown. It’s only used for matching.
  • Your email address and date of birth are never shown. Other members see your age, not your birthday.
  • Clubs and events only show a total head count, and only once enough people are going.

For adults only

clubR is for people aged 18 and over. Accounts we believe belong to someone under 18 are closed.

Block and report

You can block or report anyone from their profile or your chat. Once you block someone, you won’t see each other in Swipe or Likes, and they can’t message you. A person reviews every report within 48 hours, and we suspend accounts that break our rules.

Meeting up

  • Meet at the venue or another busy public place.
  • Tell a friend where you’re going and who you’re meeting.
  • Keep an eye on your drink, and don’t leave it unattended.
  • Plan your ride home before you go out, whether it’s the last MRT or a Grab.
  • Trust your gut. You can leave at any time, and you don’t owe anyone an explanation.

Money

A drink offer is a friendly gesture to settle in person. clubR never asks you for payment, and nobody should ask you to send money, gift cards or crypto. If someone does, report them.
